Broccolin visits Santomera

We have visited the students in the First Cycle of CEIP Ricardo Campillo to present the Broccolin Project. Through our Broccolin mascot, we have made one of the healthiest vegetables you can find in our supermarkets known among the youngest and thus encouraging healthy eating habits.

Today in class, we carried out various activities such as coloring and painting, storytelling, interactive activities and more, all related to the cultivation of broccoli. And that is that this vegetable, also known as broccolini or broccoli, belonging to the family of Brassicas such as cauliflower or cabbage, is a highly nutritious vegetable in which we can find vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, C (so much so that in just 200 grams of broccoli provides three times the daily recommended amount of vitamin C), K, E, as well as calcium, folic acid and a wide range of minerals and antioxidants that positively influence the proper functioning of our body.
